Last Day to Support Classical Music on WWFM!

Today’s the day! The final day of our membership campaign, and the last day of our fiscal year!

We know that, as a devoted listener of The Classical Network, you are passionate about the variety of music we present. This is music that resonates, whether from down the centuries or across the globe – enduring classics, presented alongside the new or unusual, in live concerts and superior recordings made by the world’s great orchestras or rising stars in the performing arts. The common thread is musicmaking of great beauty and humanity.

It goes without saying that you want us to continue doing what we do, that you want us to succeed. As a committed listener, naturally you are deeply invested in The Classical Network and everything we do to enhance the quality of your days – the daily comfort, reflection, insight, and elevation, inspired by our creative playlists, concert broadcasts, artist interviews, homegrown specialty shows, and hand-in-glove relationship with the local arts community.

WWFM is a virtual meeting place for the musical arts in central New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. But it is a meeting place that is only as open and welcoming as our listener-members allow. Your contribution at this time will have a powerful impact on what next year’s budget will look like and how much grant money we are able to secure.

A gratifying number of you have already messaged me the past couple of days to let me know that you have already stepped up. Thank you so much for your support! If you haven’t done so yet, please consider making a donation now. WWFM hosts and volunteers will be on hand until 7:00 this evening, at 1-888-232-1212.

If the time gets away from you, and suddenly it’s 8, remember, you can donate at our website right up until 11:59 p.m. and still have it count toward our goal. But at midnight, we turn into a pumpkin!

Be a fairy godparent and a patron of WWFM – The Classical Network and wwfm.org today! We cannot thank you enough for doing your part in sustaining the world’s great music on the radio. We could not do it without you!

“On a Positive Note” Airs Earlier

So as not to conflict with “Picture Perfect,” Rachel Katz has adjusted the afternoon start time of her new segment, “On a Positive Note.” “On a Positive Note,” which made its debut yesterday, is a daily six-minute segment spotlighting musicians who are sharing their music and lifting spirits as we “shelter in place.” The segment will now air on weekdays at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. EDT. A positive solution! Listen today on WWFM – The Classical Network and wwfm.org. (“Picture Perfect” begins at 6.)

It’s nice to know there’s someone out there in cyberspace who ponders the same questions.

What’s even nicer is when our kindred spirits donate to The Classical Network. Make this Halloween a real treat by calling us at 1-888-232-1212 or by making a contribution online at wwfm.org.

I don’t have to tell you, our music is out of this world. AaaaOOOOOO!!!!!!!

It’s the end of October already. Time to fortify ourselves against the harsher months. A simple click of the mouse can help us squirrel away a little something against a snowy day.

If you love what we do at The Classical Network, and classical music is an indispensable part of your life, please support it by contributing right now at wwfm.org (click on “donate”), or by calling us at 1-888-232-1212.

We’ll be on the air today and tomorrow, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. EDT, to remind you why The Classical Network is your radio station of choice.

Join me this afternoon, from 4 to 7, to celebrate autumn, to acknowledge the birthdays of Peter Warlock and Frans Brüggen, and to get a jump a Halloween. At 6:00, we’ll have a special performance of André Caplet’s “Conte fantastique,” inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Masque of the Red Death,” on “Music from Marlboro.”

Help make this a gathering of gratitude. If you’re nutty for great music, keep us bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, by calling us right now at 1-888-232-1212, or by leaving us a little seed money (bird seed, that is) at wwfm.org.

With your help, we can make our nut. Thank you for your support of WWFM – The Classical Network.
