For some reason, Facebook has not been allowing me to upload photos to my posts since Friday. The only way I am getting images at all is by sharing links to other pages. Can anyone help me out? Or do I have to hurl my laptop against the wall?

Veterans Day Music & Borodin Birthday
As federal offices lag behind on their observances of Veterans Day (which was yesterday, thank you very much), we’ll listen to works by American composers who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Join me in the 5:00 hour for music by Romeo Cascarino, Samuel Barber, William Grant Still, and a new release on Navona Records/PARMA Recordings by Samuel A. Livingston of The Blawenburg Band.
We’ll also mark the birthday, beginning at 4:00, of everyone’s favorite chemist-composer, Alexander Borodin, with some of his music, as well as that of his colleagues of the Mighty Handful, or the Russian Five.
Finally, we’ll remember Slovak soprano Lucia Popp on the anniversary of her birth.

Ennio Morricone at 90 Celebrating a Maestro
This week on “Picture Perfect,” we’ll stick a feather in our cap and call it Morricone.
Ennio Morricone, author of over 500 film and television scores, is perhaps the most prolific movie composer of all time. Tomorrow will mark his 90th birthday(!).
We’ll celebrate this extraordinary artist by revisiting some of his most indelible inspirations, including selections from “Cinema Paradiso” (1988), “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” (1966), “The Mission” (1986), “Once Upon a Time in the West” (1968), “Navajo Joe” (1966), “The Untouchables” (1987), and his Academy Award winning music for “The Hateful Eight” (2015).

Francis Lai “Love Story” Composer Dies at 86
The film composer Francis Lai has died. He wrote the music for “Un homme et une femme” (“A Man and a Woman”) and “Love Story.” You know it, even if you don’t remember his name. Follow the links at your own risk. You won’t be able to get either melody out of your head for the rest of the day. The Academy Award winning composer of over 100 film scores was 86 years-old.
